SAIC is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to provide support to our team in Arlington, VA. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data by leading engineering efforts, integrating advanced security controls, and aligning with regulatory and organizational standards. As a strategic technical leader, the engineer will collaborate across infrastructure, compliance, and mission organizations to enhance data security posture and operational resilience.

 The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Collects data requirements from business and operational Consumers and organizes and prepares them for intake and prioritization in the change management processes.
  • Monitors, evaluates and measures data quality in development, testing and production systems so that data is acceptable to each Data Consumer.
  • Manages Data requirements throughout the full lifecycle of each SAIC data element, from data setup or creation, consumption, transformation, retention, archival and disposal.
  • Establishes and observes the principles, standards and procedures of SAIC data governance, including prioritization, data quality, change management, impact analysis, risks, ethics, literacy, access, and usage for data processing, reporting and analytics.
  • Develops, implements and administers policies and procedures to ensure the quality and protection of organizational data, in compliance with strategic priorities along with regulatory requirements, to minimize risk to the organization.
  • Works with leadership to help define specific roles and responsibilities related to the organization's data assets.
  • Develops and maintains rules and policies regarding the organization's data and access restrictions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent experience reflecting the level of the position
  • Identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Work independently with demonstrated analytical and project management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Communicate and make recommendations to upper management.
  • Drive multiple projects to successful completion.
  • Possess technical aptitude.
