SAIC is seeking a business management Systems Engineer (SETA) in Chantilly, VA to oversee the service delivery efforts of a set of cloud efforts. The successful candidate will support the adoption of evolving cloud environments (ex: AWS, Azure, etc.), as well as support developers and application owners with their adoption and implementation of cloud technologies.  A background in project management is required as the successful candidate analyzes program cost, schedule, and performance attributes to formulate strategic courses of actions for stakeholder consideration.  Strong relationship building skills are needed as the successful candidate will represent the customer's strategic goals in working groups, when assessing evolving program requests, and shepherding technology deployments through configuration change management processes.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

-        Provide direct support to the customer's Program Management Office (PMO) offering insight into the business management (i.e., cost, schedule, and performance) aspects of various cloud service options

-        Review, evaluate and provide response to formal technical requests and actions

-        Support the oversight of service providers implementing the PMO's strategic roadmaps

-        Organize, Facilitate, and participate within Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) used to resolve requirements, issues, and improve service offerings

-        Create, review and provide technical advice and process documentation in support of the PMO's strategic operations

-        Provide technical advice and guidance to the ITIL based Incident Management team to inform continuous service improvements

-        Identify and document process improvements that will advance service delivery, to include developing workflow diagrams, process guides, and work requests for service delivery team(s)

-        Produce, enhance, and deliver briefings on new, in progress, and upcoming program activities

-        Provide project management oversight (including requirements tracking, schedule management and risk management) to deliver cloud hosting services

-        Manage/maintain all data related to cloud hosting services

-        Provide support for cloud services queries enabling smooth connection of services, and/or escalation for support requests

-        Partner with industry cloud services providers to support customers in delivery of new cloud services, and/or to support customer queries regarding cloud services

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Within a STEM field of study, Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and seven (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years or more experience. 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

·        Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)  clearance with current Poly

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-        Certified Program Management Professional (PMP)

-        ITIL v3, or higher Certification

-        Cloud certifications (AWS fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, Oracle Foundations, IBM Certified Solution Advisor, Google Cloud Digital Leader, or similar)

-        Experience migrating applications and systems to a cloud environment

-        Commercial and/or Government cloud engineering experience

-        Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-53 based)

-        Familiarity with the Systems Engineering lifecycle, and its application within the Customer's Communications Directorate

-        Knowledgeable in use of Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

-        Basic knowledge of scripting (Linux)

-        Demonstrated ability to develop plans, schedules, and work in a small dynamic team
