SAIC is seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer located at Pearl City in Hawaii to support USPACOM to design, implement, and manage automated provisioning of cloud resources, leveraging coding, scripting, and automation frameworks to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of Government-owned, secure cloud infrastructure.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• Design, build, and maintain cloud automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.
• Develop and optimize automation scripts/templates for cloud resource provisioning.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security in all cloud systems.
• Coordinate with DevOps, development, and operations teams to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools to accelerate deployments.
• Troubleshoot automation processes, monitor performance, and document procedures for future reference.
• Recommend new tools/technologies to optimize costs and performance.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor's and five (5)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. 
• Must have experience in: 
  • Cloud Platforms: Azure (required) and AWS (desired).
  • Automation Tools: Terraform, Bicep, Ansible.
  • Programming/Scripting: Python, Go, Powershell, Bash, or similar.
  • CI/CD & Containerization: Jenkins, GitLab, Docker.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE: 

• Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI. 

• Must be a current US Citizen. 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
