The Aerospace Test System Consultant in Crane, IN is required to provide support for programs utilizing lithium-ion battery test systems (BTS). These systems provide test and evaluation framework for lithium-ion cells and batteries that support OGA, MDA and NASA space satellite programs. Provide consultation for lithium-ion battery test systems (BTS). Assist the Government with lithium-ion cell/battery/test system integration, installation, and use for life cycle testing and evaluation. The lithium-ion cells will be standalone cells or configured in batteries in a series/parallel arrangement.
- Provide software and hardware support for battery life cycle testing and software support.
- Provide mentorship and guidance on the Aerospace Test System (ATS) construction, maintenance, verification, and tear-down.
- Share knowledge and understanding of Battery Test Software (BTS).
- Consult on test profile set-up, verification, and maintenance.
- Instruct on how to set-up a test station, work on a sim pack, and educate on Test Asset construction, verification, and check-out.
- Provide advice in transitioning old software/hardware to new software/hardware.
- Teach and provide input on database set-up and daily graph checks.
- Record documentation on Test System Verification, Charge Card checkout, and component maintenance.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen years or more of related experience; Masters and twelve years or more of related experience; PhD or JD and nine years or more of related experience.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience on Aerospace Test Systems (ATS) and Battery Test Software (BTS).
- Prior experience in constructing, maintaining, and verifying Aerospace Test Systems.
- Prior experience in BTS profile set-up, verification, and maintenance.
- Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, and work well independently and as part of a team.
Will complete the following training:
- Subject Matter Expert of Aerospace Test Systems (ATS) and Battery Test Software (BTS)
CLEARANCE:
- Must be able to get interim Secret level Clearance before start date can be firmly established, immediate need to fill this position. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.
