SAIC is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our leadership team, supporting a major state and local government customer, as well as driving growth for the Eastern region of the U.S. This key role reports to the VP and Market Leader for State and Local Governments and is accountable for program service delivery performance and providing overall leadership, guidance, and management for in-scope IT services.

Key Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Growth and Sales Expertise:
    • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets in the state and local market
    • Client Relationships: Strong ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the eastern region
    • Strategic Planning: Capability to create and implement strategic plans to capture new business opportunities and expand market presence
  • Program Management and Service Delivery Oversight:
    • IT Program Management: Extensive experience overseeing large IT programs, preferably within government sectors
    • Budget and Schedule Management: Adept at managing budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure program success
    • Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks to meet program goals
    • Compliance and Security: Awareness of regulatory compliance and cybersecurity requirements relevant to state and local projects
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Team Leadership: Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve program and growth objectives
    • Effective Communication: The Account Executive will interact directly with the customer's CIO and leadership team, as well as agency CIOs to promote alignment and client satisfaction
    • Customer Satisfaction: Responsible for attaining customer satisfaction goals and service level metrics
    • Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve issues relating to resource demands, priority conflicts, and scheduling across multiple vendors and customers using shared infrastructure and services

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of state and local IT governance and service delivery experience. This position is designated as Key Personnel on the contract; as a result, the final candidate will require Customer approval and is generally expected to commit to a minimum 24-month tenure in this role.

Candidates must have the following:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Master's degree and sixteen (16) years or more of related experience. Additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office products, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Location: Based in the eastern region of the United States;  weekly onsite engagement is required
  • Contract Management: Strong skills in contract management, requirements management, and negotiation
  • Communication Skills: Exemplary written, oral, and presentation skills, including the ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders (e.g., CIO, agency heads)
  • Leadership: Demonstrated track record of working towards pre-determined long-range goals and objectives
  • Vendor Management: Proven experience managing multiple vendors, subcontractors, geo-diverse program resources
