  • Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
  • Annual Salary Pay: $70,000 per year based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Employee must be flexible and open to working additional days and hours as needed to support operations

The Supervisor Security will be responsible for the following: Supervision of security staff for the safety and protection of all Ryder personnel at the Braintree, MA Facility. Ensure that access control is maintained at all times. Develop security procedures to be adhered to by security staff. Ensure that equipment pertinent to the security operation is serviced and maintained and in operable condition. Purchase tools pertinent to the operation of the security department at the Braintree, MA facility and ensure billing is correct.

Essential Functions

  • Supervises Security Staff
  • Reviews daily logs
  • Develops security procedures
  • Evaluates new equipment, techniques and products
  • Programs Honeywell Delta 1000 and Xerox 820-II
  • Trains staff on equipment and procedures
  • Purchases materials for operation of department
  • Investigates reported thefts and security violations and contacts employees and/or visitors regarding infractions of security procedures or regulations.
  • Respond to emergency medical situations

Additional Responsibilities

  • This position is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Subject to being called into headquarters at any time to handle emergency or unusual situations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Associate's degree preferred in related field
  • Five (5) years or more experience in Security or Law Enforcement required
  • Three (3) years or more spent at supervisor or above level required
  • Law Enforcement School Certification
