This position is responsible for leading the business unit to overall profitability and growth of the rental product line through successful implementation of Marketing, Sales Execution, Financial Responsibilities, Leadership, Operations, Fleet Management, Customer Retention, Development and Communication.
Drives Rental utilization through successful market penetration using sound Marketing activities.
Oversees all RAM, RSR and MT Marketing activities.
Successful implementation of Business Units Marketing plans including consumer, local, regional & national programs, coordinates all the Marketing activities of RAMs as well as all Rental personnel.
Oversees and directs all Marketing promotions such as direct mail, inbound and outbound telemarketing, outside sales efforts, weekly blitz activities and maintains constant communication with the Field Marketing Coordinators.
Ensures inbound and outbound telemarketing standards are being met at the company's required levels.
Drives and executes Sales events such as blitz's Customer Appreciation Activities, etc.
Market Share & Penetration:
Reacts to market changes with a sense of urgency in order to maintain and grow the market.
Ensures appropriate staffing levels at all full service locations.
Anticipates market & customer needs by either moving equipment in or out of locations to meet demands and recognize/react quickly to market opportunities
Establishes and enforces authority guidelines and limits for pricing within the Rental Counter, RSRs and RAM sales forces. Maintains competitive awareness and market pricing.
Monitors and enforces price incentives driven by market conditions.
Proactively recognizes and reacts quickly to market supply and demand.
Is directly responsible for overseeing the execution of the entire plan to close process at all locations.
Is responsible for sales protocols between all RAMs/RSRs, including lead generation and follow up
Is responsible for overall profitability of both the Rental and Trailer Pool product lines specifically achieving both revenue and margin plans.
Is directly responsible for maintaining compliance with company, local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies.
Is responsible for analyzing and interpreting performance through multiple financial reports and metrics
Drives profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships
Is responsible for the overall development and guidance of employees to meet revenue and margin goals.
Understands the importance of responsibility, accountability and commitment
Drives consistency across locations by ensuring proper branding of the Ryder label
Oversees day-to-day coordination of resources to meet customer needs.
Responsible for ensuring effective communication between Rental and the Maintenance operations.
Drives profitable revenue growth by maintaining and growing customer relationships.
Oversees customer concerns in order to maintain the ongoing relationship
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Marketing or Finance or equivalent experience.
Five (5) years or more experience Rental or Sales experience
Ability to work with others in a professional manner while achieving a common goal. Ability to forecast market potential, demand, optimize and react appropriately with the Fleet and Sales force. Create an environment in which people want to do their best
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results accurately and timely
Ability to guide, engage, and impart knowledge to others. Able to teach employees to be resourceful, effectively manage and quickly accomplish goals
Demonstrates analytical skills. Ability to implement and execute action plans through financial performance analysis
Develops and delivers effective presentations. Ability to speak to and articulate the performance of the business unit to all aspects of management. Clearly articulates Ryder's product and service offerings. Able to communicate effectively across all functions. Ability to get both verbal and written communication across to have the desired effect
