Title: Patient Access Representative (Pharmacy)-1 Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Pharmacy Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Coordinates and makes arrangements for all access-related activities and pharmacy authorization requests; including data gathering, triage, communication with physicians and clinical staff, payors and all necessary stakeholders in relation all medication access requests. The incumbent will be fully responsible for working on medication access issues ( Prior Authorizations, Patient Assistance Programs, working on denials, following up on pending authorization and acting as a liaison between RP and payors) in a timely manner for assigned service line. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in patient registration, patient scheduling, or insurance verification; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
