Title: Laboratory Technician Company: Health Research Inc. Department: Pathology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Performs technical laboratory work in a scientific research laboratory. Participates in and performs assigned phases of scientific research projects. Prepares standard media, cultures, reagents, stains and solutions. Tracks, stores, retrieves and distributes specimens for laboratory analysis; prepares related records. Maintains laboratory supplies and inventory. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field; or
2. Associate's degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time laboratory experience.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will possess the following: experience working in a laboratory setting; Experience handling lab specimens and preparing reagent; Experience in molecular and cellular biology; and experience maintaining equipment and ordering supplies.
