Title: Endoscope Reprocessing Technician

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Nursing - Endoscopy Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Handles and processes instruments/scopes in accordance with various regulatory agencies' regulations and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center policies and procedures; inspects and ensures that all scopes are in proper working order; provides quality assurance through performance of periodic endoscope testing; adheres to strict infection control standards with respect to endoscope and endoscope accessory processing; occasionally transports specimens and supplies as delegated by a Registered Nurse; performs endoscopy room floor mopping/disinfection after contaminated cases; maintains general unit supplies. Qualifications: Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
The preferred candidate will have experience with processing Endoscopes, processing Advanced Endoscopes such as EUS, EBUS and ERCP scopes, and will have familiarity with high level disinfection. The preferred candidate will also have current/recent Roswell Park experience and recent operating Room or endoscopy/procedural experience. They will have coordinating/scheduling experience and the ability to follow specific set of procedures along with the ability to work in enclosed environment with teammates for long periods with good manual dexterity.
