Title: Clinical Laboratory Technician

Job Type:

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Cytology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Performs simple and complex test procedures in a timely manner as assigned; accurately obtains and interprets data for diagnosis and treatment of disease; performs related laboratory technology duties; may perform limited blood banking duties on a limited basis with advanced training. Actively participates in the orientation and training of new staff members in accordance with established procedures.

Salary range for the Clinical Laboratory Technician I is $48,956 - $59,757 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also offers a geographic differential on top of that salary for salary range of $53,545 - $64,346 annually.

Salary range for the Clinical Laboratory Technician II is $54,860 - $66,634 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. This position also offers a geographic differential on top of that salary for salary range of $59,449 - $71,223 annually. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

Clinical Laboratory Technician I:

1. License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or
2. Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of New York.

Clinical Laboratory Technician II:

License Requirement:
License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.

1. Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related health care discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technician I at Roswell Park; or
2. Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related health care discipline and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a comparable healthcare setting.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have experience in a Cytology setting, knowledge of Anatomic Pathology nomenclature, prior customer service experience, and their Clinical lab technician license or eligibility for licensure.
