Title: Clinical Laboratory Assistant [RP-N] Company: Health Research Inc. Department: Pathology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Processes requests and receives clinical /clinical research/research testing material within the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory ; accessions, processes, and routes clinical testing material to appropriate testing area; transcribes/scans relevant clinical information into Pathology case; handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods; assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree in a Healthcare discipline; or
2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and current enrollment in an approved BS program in Clinical Laboratory Technology; or
4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical/laboratory terminology
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
