Title: Body Imaging Radiologist

Regular Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Diagnostic Radiology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park) is seeking Board-certified or Board-eligible Body Imagers with particular interest in oncologic imaging, clinical service, teaching, and education for its Diagnostic Radiology Department. Roswell Park is a Public Benefit Corporation formed by New York State in 1999 that operates a $1 billion nationally ranked NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center located in Buffalo, NY.

The Diagnostic Radiology Department is comprised of 12 diagnostic body imagers and 27 clinical radiology faculty who provide multidisciplinary care to our patients in one of only 2 NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in New York State. Academic faculty appointments are provided through an affiliation with University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes 3 MRI units, 4 dual energy CT scanners, and a 3D imaging lab. A satellite imaging facility will be opening in Spring 2023 which includes a another MRI and CT scanner.

Clinical responsibilities for this position will include interpretation of body CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and plain radiographs as well as physician coverage of the Park Club Lane site. Incumbents will also be expected to provide instruction for medical students, and residents as needed, pertaining to usual duties within the section of body radiology; and maintain and promote strong clinical relationships which will include attendance and participation as needed in multidisciplinary conferences as well as consultation with patients and colleagues. In addition to advancing the goals of Roswell Park in providing state of the art patient-oriented care in the prevention and treatment of cancer within the Department of Radiology.

Salary range is $320,000-$458,237 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

We offer a hybrid work-life balance with remote, off-site reading stations provided and flexed into your schedule.

Call is split equally amongst the body imagers and equates to approximately 4 weeks a year and includes overnight tele-radiology coverage seven days a week including holidays.

A team of dedicated physician assistants provide troubleshooting, protocoling, preliminary reports, research protocol measurements, and fluoroscopy coverage.

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in the State of New York with prior full-time experience in the field of Diagnostic Imaging or the specialties of Body Imaging, Diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neuroradiology, or Angio/Interventional Radiology.  

Successful candidates will have particular interest in clinical service, teaching, and education. The preferred candidate will have a Radiology fellowship, or prior Radiology fellowship experience. Candidates with an interest in research are encouraged to apply. Fellowship training in Body Imaging is preferred but not required.
