Regular Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Indigenous Cancer Health Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Roswell Park Center for Indigenous Cancer Research (CICR) seeks an open rank (Assistant Member, Associate Member, or Full Professor) to lead and collaborate in projects across tribal and Native urban landscapes dedicated to student development, cancer education programs, and health related student internships as they relate to education, academic research, population science, and Indigenous Nations. Roswell Park is a vibrant, free-standing NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated to one shared mission: to understand, prevent and cure cancer. Roswell Park, America's first cancer center, founded in 1898, is in Buffalo, New York and is the only upstate New York facility to hold the National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center designation. The candidate we are searching for should be familiar with community-based and community-driven educational research process, education challenges, and concerns of Indigenous populations at the tribal, local, regional, national, and international levels across the cancer care continuum.

The candidate will work within the CICR in collaboration with the Center's Community Advisory Board and existing partnerships. The candidate will also receive support for creating independent research and educational programming development. This candidate will be a member of Roswell's Community Outreach and Engagement, and support building new partnerships toward community-based research and educational programming. They will also work closely with the Roswell Park Education Department by leading CICR summer research programs. Ability to travel inter-tribally, regionally, nationally, and internationally is required.

Doctoral degree in an appropriate scientific or clinical-based discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in an applicable scientific or clinical research environment.

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
