1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Performs highly confidential, complex administrative duties for a senior-level department leader within the organization; performs work of a higher-level responsibility to coordinate and ensure completion of special projects for the department and the department leader; provides administrative assistance to the NY Quitline; coordinates new employee orientation and onboarding within the department; assists faculty and staff with travel arrangements; assists with time and attendance and payroll for faculty and staff; supports the department administrator with the development and maintenance of department operating procedures; coordinates speaker visits and travel arrangements as part of the grand rounds speaker series; maintains various databases for the department including contracts, equipment; provides support for the Director of Graduate Studies and the education department. performs the above duties and responsibilities in a highly complex and confidential environment requiring general supervision from the senior-level department leader, with extensive latitude for utilizing independent judgment and initiative.

Performs basic clerical support duties as required.

The pay range for this position is $59,537 - $75,091 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience providing administrative assistance to senior-level leadership.
  • Proven professionalism and discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOP's. Experience planning events such as meetings, conferences, guest speaker/collaborator visits.
  • Travel coordination experience.
  • Possesses strong Microsoft suite skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Workday.
  • Experience developing and maintaining databases.
