Remote out of St. Louis The Manager, Field Marketing Programs manages the successful rollout and execution of marketing programs at retail by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization. The Manager facilitates an effective partnership between Retail Operations, Marketing and Facilities Management teams and ensures that all parties remain fully informed on what is required to execute marketing programs, store remodels, equipment upgrade and POG resets at retail.  This is a field-based position that involves regular store site visits, including the assessment of store site execution of marketing programs and recommending updates or changes to instore signage, equipment, and layouts. The Manager works closely with operations to align merchandising and display changes based on the organization's initiatives and go to market strategy. The Manager also supports successful partnerships by communicating challenges at retail to Category Management and collaborating on solutions based on the needs of the business to drive success at retail.  This is a key position in the organization and requires an ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently strives to meet project timelines.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Works with all key stake holders and supports the development of project plans to ensure the successful execution of key marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Communicates with store and field management regarding the changes that will occur within the store before, during, and after project completion; stresses importance and purpose of maintaining the changes within the store.
  • Updates key stakeholders on progress of marketing programs execution, and exercises foresight to proactively mitigate challenges that present a risk to meeting set timelines.
  • Provides critical sales & merchandising information to marketing and operations teams as needed to ensure all stores can effectively execute Marketing programs and promotions.
  • Directs product placement execution at retail as per the current schematic or display placement, seasonal cycle.
  • Provides recommendations to the Category Managers on store layouts based on individual store and region needs.
  • Performs store visits to inspect equipment conditions, and identify needed repairs, replacements, and new installations if required, along with validating the product placement, and other items for display accordingly.
  • Recommends product or service level improvements at retail.
  • Coordinates with merchandise vendors, suppliers, and maintenance department to verify merchandise and display systems will arrive in time for store resets or remodels, store openings, product change outs, or product returns once reset is complete.
  • Informs Marketing of observations in the markets we operate in to ensure we maintain a competitive position.
  • Communicating the proper placement of display banners, posters, display flags, etc., on the floor for enhancing the product awareness and distributing information regarding new promotions, seasonal items and specific offers to respective stores for attracting additional customers.
  • Ensures the successful transportation and assembly of the materials used in store re-sets or remodels through coordination and commutation with store leadership.
  • Supports ad hoc projects and other additional duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in associated field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in field marketing or retail operations
  • Store merchandising leadership experience, with prior merchandising experience in the convenience store industry highly preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and translate P&L and CapEx reports is required
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office (excel, word, power point)
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to convey ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audience
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and provide required proof of insurance and demonstrate a safe driving record
