The Position
St. Lawrence Health is looking to hire full-time Hospitalist/Surgical Assist Advance Practice Providers.
- Assignments for this position will include a combination of Surgical Operating Room time and Medical Surgical floor coverage.
- Will work with primarily with Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and General Surgery on surgical needs as well as follow up inpatient care.
- Three (3) to four (4) days per week as assigned based on the needs of the organization; daytime coverage consists of a minimum of ten (10) hours per day.
- In addition to daytime coverage, employment includes approximately fifty-two (52) call nights per year, including one in four (1:4) weekend call coverage.
- Full-Time Base Pay Range: $135,000-$161,000*
- Compensation with salary guarantee, sign on bonus

- Primary location is Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Core Hospitals
SLH is comprised of three hospitals and a number of outreach primary and specialty care practices throughout St. Lawrence County. Each practice is affiliated with one of our hospitals.
- Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility certified for 94 beds. Its core programs include emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center that is fully equipped to provide rapid and thorough trauma care to adults involved in physically traumatic situations.
- Gouverneur Hospital (GH) is a not-for-profit critical access hospital certified for 25 beds. Services include emergency care, medical imaging and EKGs, laboratory, physical rehabilitation, and respiratory therapy. GH also houses our comprehensive substance abuse rehabilitation programs, including medicated assisted treatment, and behavioral therapies.
- Massena Hospital (MH) is a 25-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient, medical, surgical, and detoxification services in addition to emergency care. MH's main campus also provides medical imaging and laboratory services, nutritional counseling, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation, and inpatient physical and speech therapies. Outreach health centers offer the community cardiology, infusion, nephrology, neurology, OB-GYN and women's health, pediatrics, and primary care.

Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.
