Summary

RNDC is looking for innovative and collaborative Transportation Analyst to join our growing Operations team. This position helps to increase efficiency, collects, and analyzes supply chain data, provides technical support, and makes recommendations to improve system efficiency. Additional, responsibilities include partnering with IT, carriers, and other departments to implement new (or improve) systems. The overarching goal is to improve service to our customers and suppliers as profitably as possible. Analytical skills, business acumen, problem-solving ability and attention to detail are essential. 

 

In this role, you will
  • Analyze inbound transportation data and monitoring KPIs to prevent major disruptions to our network. Improve EDI process, and report on Carrier EDI performance. Analyze inbound scheduled PO and help support inbound flow. 
  • Continuous improvement of inbound transportation operations and planning processes. Establishment of SOPs as training and reference tools. Ensures timeliness and accuracy of transactions recorded in systems of record. 
  • Uses technology tools for space planning and analysis inbound efficiencies in facilities. 
  • Evaluate existing capabilities (manual processes) and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measuring, reporting, and analyzing traffic data. Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest process improvements; plan and implement supply chain optimization projects. 
  • Develop scorecard for each carrier and evaluate carrier operations according to EDI accuracy. Partner with IT department to identify and implement effective systems. 
  • Works proactively to identify potential problems that could impact service levels and on-time receiving and/or transfers; identifies and implements reasonable, cost-effective, and ethical solutions. Tracks and analyzes daily and weekly operations data specific to assigned areas, identify service gaps, inefficiencies, and other areas providing opportunities to reduce costs and improve inbound systems with minimal impact. 

 

What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a preferred concentration in a relevant field preferred; 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Transportation, or Manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Wine & Spirits or Distribution industry experience preferred. Other experience required: 
  • Experience with Oracle, Blue Ridge, and Manhattan WMS & TMS (or other industry-leading software). 
  • Experience in system planning, movement between multiple warehouse storage location(s), receiving, put away function(s), scheduling, and oversight of inbound receipts. 
  • Logistics and transport experience in a multi-facility distribution environment with high SKU counts. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Blue Ridge SCP and IBP modules, MicroStrategy, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent forecasting/S&OP tools. Successful candidate should self-identify as having strong communication skills and an approach to his or her work that is detail-oriented, energetic, creative, and collaborative. 5% travel or less.
