Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Director to lead our Accounts Payable function at RNDC. As the Accounts Payable Director, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating seamless transactions between Suppliers/Vendors and RNDC, ensuring that our financial operations are conducted with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the entire accounts payable process, optimizing payment procedures, nurturing vendor relationships, and implementing best practices to drive continuous improvement.

In this role, you will
  • Lead and manage the accounts payable department within the finance department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, while maintaining optimal vendor relationships and enhancing payment processes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the accounts payable team to achieve departmental objectives effectively.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, promptly resolving any issues or discrepancies to uphold smooth business operations.
  • Develop and enforce accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
  • Strategically manage payment schedules to optimize cash flow and working capital, minimizing late payments and maximizing financial efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation across the purchase-to-pay function to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of key performance metrics, including AP aging reports, vendor performance, and payment trends, taking corrective actions to support decision-making and financial performance.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes pertinent to accounts payable operations.
  • Actively participate in audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements as required.
     
What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in accounts payable management or related fields or 
  • Seven year 7 or more years equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Travel up to 10%
