MEDICAL DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY: Williamsburg

Riverside Medical Group is seeking an Emergency Department Medical Director for Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg. The ED has twelve private rooms and five additional treatment spaces with an annual volume of 22,000 patients and a 11% admission rate. The facility is DNV accredited, with Primary Stroke Center accreditation, Hip and Knee Replacement accreditation and is a Certified Level 3 Geriatric ED. Riverside Doctor's Hospital Williamsburg is affiliated with Riverside Health System which offers a comprehensive span of services, from birth through end of life, touching more than two million lives each year. Riverside Health System has a coverage area of 8,000 square miles in Coastal Virginia. Our care is integrated, allowing us to work together seamlessly across our network.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR ROLE:

• Provide clinical leadership to board-certified Emergency physicians and experienced advanced practice providers
• Collaborate with all ED staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality emergency care meeting nationally published care standards
• Lead a provider team that collaborates effectively with the rest of the ED team members for efficient and effective care delivery
• Work collaboratively with ED nursing leadership, executive leadership, and the inpatient care team
• Collaborate with quality and safety personnel to ensure the ED Service Line and Riverside Health System standards of care are met
• Exemplify service excellence
• Work with the Patience Advocate and Experience Coordinator to resolve patient complaints and grievances
• Facilitate outreach with local EMS
• Promote Riverside Doctors' Hospital programs to community stakeholders in our service area
• Must be ABEM/AOBEM certified in Emergency Medicine
• Minimum of 5 years clinical practice, with leadership experience
• Residence within Riverside Doctors Hospital Williamsburg service area is preferred
• Unable to sponsor J1 visa providers
