Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Pump Team Operator at our Memphis, TN facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules

  • Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:

    • Always using the required personal protective equipment

    • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely

    • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards

    • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives.

  • Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure

  • Review the production schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled and prepare for operations

  • Perform pre-start check of log book, verify production log requirements and all pre-operational processes such as valve checks for tanks and fillers and releasing nitrogen to warehouses

  • Set-up production lines, start pumps, and bleed out air from filters, take oil inventory

  • Operate oil valves to headers and drain and flush valves for change-overs and mix products

  • Observe the start-up of production lines, check oil temperatures and monitor the pressure.

  • Obtain start-up samples from all lines and deliver to Quality Control as required

  • Communicate with Team Leads in Packaging and the Refinery, Team Operation Coordinators, Troubleshooter, Laboratory and QC personnel as needed

  • Pump oil from tank to tank as required, measure and calculate pounds of oil in tanks and line usage, grease and tighten valves, fix leaks, change filters and clean-up spills as needed

  • Unload oil trucks and transport supplies to the High Speed lines as needed

  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork

  • Assist in basic preventative maintenance procedures of equipment and basic general housekeeping standards

  • Regular preventative maintenance as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed

  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively

  • Understand instruction and follow direction

  • Work primarily in a warm to hot environment

  • Good to advanced computer and systems skills

  • Forklift skills preferred, but not required

  • Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs

  • High School diploma or GED required
