We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Engineering Services group located in our U.S. Country Office in St. Louis, MO. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful management and overall execution of various construction, expansion and/or process improvement capital projects within Richardson's US-based operating divisions.  This position also provides ongoing oversight, troubleshooting and technical support to the operating business units as it relates to general facility and equipment operations, process efficiencies and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall budgeting and scope planning activities for various assigned capital and process improvement projects

  • Prepare, distribute and review comprehensive bid packages for tender with applicable vendors

  • Evaluate and maintain an accurate database of applicable vendors to perform various work tasks for the company, considering such things as work quality, safety, performance and budgetary considerations

  • Manage the successful negotiation of contracts with vendors and make recommendations on awarding of contracts

  • Ensure effective and safe planning, regulatory compliance, execution, commissioning and operator training for all assigned projects

  • Provide timely supervision and oversight (remotely and on-site) of applicable vendors during all stages of the assigned projects to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance

  • Review and provide feedback on detailed process flows / drawings, equipment selection process and site plans using complex tools (i.e. AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.)

  • Accurately manage project budgets to completion, and provide timely reports on progress, issues, risks, change recommendations, etc.

  • Evaluate new and existing technologies for continuous improvement opportunities, as it relates to equipment automation & controls, material handling, environmental management, health & safety risk reduction, etc.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) designation (preferred)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial project management, maintenance and capital planning, equipment troubleshooting and reliability, or industrial facility operations

  • Sound working knowledge of industrial facilities and operations

  • Demonstrated project management and negotiations skills and experience

  • Solid technical skills to support facilities, operations, processes and staff

  • Experience interpreting relevant US-based building, electrical and fire safety codes and standards

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external service providers and regulatory agencies

  • Ability to work autonomously in managing construction and process improvement projects
