This Position of a Region Pricing Analyst will be based out of the Florida Region Location!

Summary

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for reviewing transactional sales data and determining opportunities for margin improvement. Uses various reports and tools to make recommendations to the pricing manager or director regarding pricing actions to be taken to improve sales productivity and accuracy of customer pricing. Works directly with the fields sales organization to secure copies of SPA contracts and prepares them for load into the ERP system. Maintains resale pricing as needed for customer specific requests

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze pricing and margin data and recommend pricing updates to meet margin improvement goals and strategies outlined by the company.
  • Work SPA (special pricing agreement) expiration report with field sales and management to ensure renewals of cost and sell are completed in time to avoid lapses in customer service and profit leaks.
  • Monitor vendor price increases and adjust resale pricing to maximize profitability.
  • Identify system resale pricing errors and provide solutions to maintenance group.
  • Create and analyze reports to measure key pricing metrics such as percent overrides.
  • Become an expert on all pricing software systems utilized in the assigned branches.
  • Conduct sales training courses on improving profitability.
  • Conduct branch pricing reviews / branch audits, specifically looking at 1) customer segmentation, 2) price matrices, 3) SPA utilization & renewal process 4) override rates.  Identify potential changes, get acceptance from sales team, implement changes and measure results.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated orientation to challenge the status quo and initiate change.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills.
  • Prior operations, sourcing or sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Distribution business.
  • Knowledge of Rexel IT systems (Eclipse).
  •  

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years experience in inside sales, operations or sourcing.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • BS / BA degree.
  • Expertise in using tools such as Webi / report writers and Excel.
  • Strong communication, team building and interpersonal skills  - comfortable teaching classes and pushing back on sales requests when needed.

 

 

Language Skills:
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

 

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets.

 

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
