The Sr HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by designing, implementing, and managing employee welfare programs. This role ensures that employees' physical, emotional, and social well-being are prioritized, contributing to higher engagement, retention, and overall organizational success.
In this role you will:Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Action Plan: Design and maintain protocols for immediate response to employee health emergencies within the workplace, including medical incidents, psychological distress, and crisis situations. Ensure timely coordination with on-site responders, healthcare professionals, and support services to facilitate rapid intervention, safe transport, and post-incident care. Promote awareness and training among staff to recognize early warning signs and activate appropriate response channels
- Wellness Program Development: Design and execute holistic wellness initiatives including mental health support, fitness programs, and preventive healthcare
- Employee Engagement: Organize events, workshops, and campaigns that promote team bonding, motivation, and a sense of belonging
- Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal welfare policies, including maternity/paternity benefits, leave policies, and workplace safety
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external partners such as counselors, fitness trainers, and insurance providers to deliver welfare services
- CSR & Volunteering: Coordinate employee involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and community outreach programs
- Feedback & Reporting: Conduct regular surveys to assess employee satisfaction and welfare needs; prepare reports for senior management with actionable insights
- Grievance Redressal: Act as a confidential and approachable point of contact for employee concerns, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary
Requirement
Details
Education
Bachelor's/Master's in HR, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
Experience
5+ years in HR or welfare roles, preferably in ITeS or BPO environments
Skills
Empathy, communication, conflict resolution, program management, data analysis
Tools
Familiarity with HRMS platforms, survey tools, and wellness apps
Preferred Attributes
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and compliance standards
- Experience managing wellness programs in high-pressure, shift-based environments
- Ability to work across diverse teams and cultural backgrounds
