Reston Hospital Center is a Level II Trauma Center, HCA Healthcare, and Joint Commission Accredited facility. We are home of the Mid-Atlantic region's most comprehensive Robotic Surgery program- the Institute for Robotics and Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery. We offer board-certified surgeons across numerous specialties, including breast, cancer, gastrointestinal, general, gynecologic and urogynecologic, lung and thoratic, neurosurgery, orthopedic, spine, urological, and bariatric surgeries.

HCA StaRN Nurse Residency Program

StaRN stands for Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses. Our one year long program is specific to the unit you are hired into. This is a full-time, paid and benefited career choice that is designed to enhance your nursing skillsets and knowledge while simultaneously promoting your professional growth and development.

22 Week Orientation:

  •     10 weeks in classroom setting to include a combination of self-study, hands-on skills/simulations, and BLS/ACLS, EKG (Electrocardiogram), and TeamStepps certifications
  •     12 weeks of preceptorship with a designated and trained preceptor

Start Date: August 30th

**Two year commitment required to unit and facility

Qualifications

Education: RN Licensure required, BSN preferred. Graduate of an accredited nursing school required. 

Experience: Acute hospital RN experience highly preferred
