- Job description: Working in a dedicated Children's facility is preferred but not mandatory. Pediatric experience is a requirement, especially in PEDS Cardiac.
- Experience in heart transplants and willingness to float between units is needed.
- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation is required.
- Traveler may be floated to various units except OR, PACU, and ED including PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit, and occasionally to Bernardy Center.
- Unit Summary: Providing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO.
- Job Requirements
- CA License in hand or pending with estimated times of arrival
- At least 2 years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment
- Must have PEDS Cardiac experience
- Heart transplant experience
- Willing to float between units
- Must have BLS and PALS certifications
- Schedule Information
- Shifts: 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available
- Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat nights for night shift and Sat/Sun for day shift)
- 13 week contracts
- Requested Time Off: 6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week)
- Must be available to work holidays
- Self-scheduling available
- Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
- Unit has 30-37 beds
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit Details: The position involves working in the CVPICU/CTICU units.
- The units include a variety of patient types including post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO.
- Patients can range from neonatal up to 23 years old.

- Valid photo ID required on first day
- Traveler must bring certain documents on the first day (e.g., driver's license or state ID, professional license, certifications)
