Senior Director of Engineering - XM Platform Why We Have This Role The XM Platform organization seeks a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead and develop its six teams that manage over 9 billion profiles. This role involves guiding the creation of simple yet powerful solutions that enable customers to harness both experience data (X Data) and operational data (O Data) to gain unique insights, driving impactful interactions through targeted segments, and facilitating near real-time access to data via advanced reporting tools. The position is crucial for overseeing integrations with Ecosystem partners, powering real-time, enterprise-grade workflows with XM XFlows and elevating customer relations with XM Journeys—a leading platform as recognized by Forrester. - Communicate and drive engineering initiatives across functions
- Define the vision and strategy for several engineering teams

- Design and influence product strategy

- Recruit, build and develop high performing engineering teams and leaders
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and serve as an advocate for the function
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated knowledge of engineering best-practices
- 5+ years experience managing engineering managers
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing cross-functional engineering teams in multiple locations.
- In-depth technical knowledge on common technologies used as infrastructure
- Experience working with technologies used by software developers to develop, test, deploy, and operate their services. These include, but are not limited to Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, Puppet, and Terraform.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
