The Challenge

Start up our Research Expert team in the Asian market. As a Research Manager, you will be part of the growing Qualtrics subject matter community globally and in the APJ region, that helps some of the world's top minds take their research to the next level. Whether you're speaking with a tenured professor or a chief marketing officer, you'll constantly be challenged to come up with new and creative solutions to our clients' most difficult research needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage research projects at the enterprise level to provide a best-in-class experience that truly delights our customers
  • Partner with the broader APJ sales team to scope, allocate resources and propose research solutions that foster Qualtrics brand dedication
  • Work with clients to design survey instruments & solutions that meet their objectives and conform to best practices in research methodology
  • Coordinate a cross-functional project-specific research team to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to team members and partners
  • Lead quality assurance for all research services & deliverables to ensure clients can digest and take action on the resulting recommendations
  • Manage enterprise client relationships and stakeholder management, including communications with clients' Business owners.
  • Lead internal coordination efforts & develop relationships within Qualtrics to leverage and scale cross-department solutions

  • Conduct, deliver and deploy research projects that are sharp, smart, inventive, pragmatic and commercial

  • For key customer, working with the broader Qualtrics team to help build and develop customer relationships that thrive
  • Immerse yourself in the business to establish a credible base of knowledge from which to build
  • Demonstrate a passion for ongoing and self-directed learning to develop your own skills and to mentor and develop the skills of colleagues
  • Share in the development of the Qualtrics offer, culture, and ways of working
  • To really crush this role, you'll need to combine your strong technical expertise, your deep program/project management skills, your validated business insight, and your client management skills to lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of custom solutions for our most meaningful clients

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, psychology, mathematics, or the sciences
  • 10+ years experience within the custom Market Research industry
  • Lead and successfully deliver bespoke research solutions to clients throughout the entire project lifecycle (methodology, design & analysis)
  • Practical experience with a wide array of product, brand, and advertising research methodologies
  • Knowledge with Qualtrics XM platform
  • Experience with research projects conducted within Asia
  • Technical aptitude and proficiency in tools like SPSS, SaaS, Q Research Software, or R

A Day in the Life

Bill is an alumnus of the University of New South Wales and started his career at Millward Brown. Born in Shanghai but grew up in Darwin. For those unfamiliar with Australian geography, it's a remote, tropical city on the northern tip of the continent, closer to Indonesia than any other major Australian city. Bill spent a large part of his childhood there, barefoot and getting into all sorts of adventures.Bill is now a Research Manager in our Research Services team in Sydney.
