WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Technical Services Representative III position is responsible for providing technical support to internal and external customers through collecting and analyzing data, assisting in root cause investigations, and providing regulatory consultation. The candidate will reside in the United States with the willingness to travel by air or ground to assigned domestic or international plant locations.

  • Work safely in a meat food processing environment.
  • Write testing protocols.
  • Perform in-plant trials using FSIS directives.
  • Evaluate microbial data.
  • Write reports on testing results for internal and external customers.
  • Utilize MARC system to identify performance trends and opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with food processing plant management and QA group.
  • Support Account Management by utilizing Microbial and Regulatory Knowledge.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Active driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, food science, microbiology or related field.
  • 7 years' experience in a field related to food safety or processing.
  • HACCP trained.
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations.
  • Basic microbiology and laboratory knowledge.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work closely with members of other teams.
  • Ability to develop and present technical data to colleagues and customers.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Advance degree in a related field preferred.

  • • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull 25-50 lbs.
  • • Regularly required to stand, talk, hear and walk.
  • • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
