Job Summary

To provide spiritual care to the patients, families, and staff of Prisma Health in compliance with the values and mission of Prisma Health, in a clinical, supervised environment. The Chaplain Resident SES also participates in a Clinical Pastoral Education unit as accredited by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. The Chaplain Resident is responsible to the CPE Program Manager in the Prisma Health Department of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Education.

Accountabilities

• Learns the art of spiritual care education by participating in units of supervisory Clinical Pastoral Education
• Assesses and provides quality spiritual care interventions to patients, families, and staff within assigned clinical sites and on-call clinical sites.
• Represents chaplaincy on interdisciplinary teams within the clinical assignments at Palmetto Health.

• N/A

Minimum Requirements

• Master's of Divinity or Equivalency. Work experience may not substitute for minimum education level. Four (4) Units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses

• Clergy Ordination, Ecclesiastical Endorsement, and ACPE Membership

Other Required Sills and

• Spiritual Care and Education Assessments and Interventions with CPE students.
