Position Summary
As recognized specialists in the K-12 and higher education construction field, we have secured multiple contracts across eastern Massachusetts with timelines extending into 2024 and beyond. As an Owner's Representative, you'll be responsible to oversee and manage assigned projects from design through procurement, construction, and delivery. Working with a seasoned project management team you'll have great hands-on mentorship available to you as you develop what we hope will be a long-term career with PMA Consultants.
In this role, you will develop, schedule, and manage materials, people, and time resources, including monitoring costs, quality, and contractor performance. You will ensure timely and collaborative communication with the client (owner), architect, and contractors, including formal reporting. You will represent the owner's interests at meetings and publicly present project updates to various committees, abutters, local safety officials, and other project stakeholders as may be necessary. Position Qualifications

    • Experience and knowledge typically acquired by a bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction management or related discipline and 3-7 years of related work experience in the construction industry is required.
    • An EIT license is beneficial.
    • Self-confident, proactive, and able to work both independently and as an effective team player with the ability to work in harmony with all project participants.
    • Public construction project experience or similar preferred.
    • OSHA 10 required on site.
    • MSBA-related experience is a plus.
    • MCPPO certification considered.
    • Valid driver's license and or reliable transportation to office and/or client site.
Additional Requirements   Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.   Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.   About PMA   At PMA, employee well-being is a daily priority.
