Description

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced full-time WBC Education Specialist with excellent communication and customer service skills. The Wellbeing Centers Education Specialist implements the Wellbeing Center (WBC) program, including facilitating education classes, staffing the Wellbeing Center at 3-4 schools, tabling at outreach events, and supporting Peer Advocate programming. This position includes individual work with students to educate and support on substance abuse prevention, mental health and sexual health. The Specialist will provide resources and/or referrals to support services, community-based organizations and programs to assist students in achieving their goals and improve health outcomes. This position works collaboratively with LA County Department of Public Health Educators who staff the Wellbeing Centers. The Specialist also works collaboratively with school staff and faculty to implement the program.
