Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with program faculty to develop comprehensive lab scenarios

  • Provide direct student mentorship through:

    • Regular individual and group meetings

    • Academic performance advising

    • Personalized feedback and support

  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential student performance records

  • Coordinate closely with instructional leadership to:

    • Communicate student learning needs

    • Ensure program and course objectives are met

  • Demonstrate advanced clinical skills by:

    • Maintaining expertise in dental equipment and techniques

    • Participating in faculty development and professional organizations

  • Support program administration through:

    • Grading assignments

    • Preparing instructional materials

    • Managing clinical supply inventories

    • Completing module documentation

Note: Essential functions may expand based on program needs

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program

  • OR Four years of equivalent job-related training and experience

Credentials

  • Certified/Registered Dental Assistant (CDA/RDA)

  • OR Licensed Dentist

  • Current professional licensing

  • State-approved dental assisting program credentials

Professional Skills

  • Minimum three years practical dental assisting experience

  • Proficient in four-handed and six-handed dentistry principles

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced dental certification

  • Teaching or mentoring experience

  • Commitment to student professional development

Compensation & Benefits
