Position Summary:
You will oversee all aspects of the Telecommunications services and IT Endpoint Device management for the various teams at Penske to enable us to continue to lead the transportation services industry by offering reliable innovative solutions and services using cutting edge technologies.
As the Director of Endpoint Management & Telecom you will lead and manage all aspects of the call center platform to ensure highly available and cost-effective call center services are provided to the businesses. You will have an oversight of the teams providing telephony services to our organization. The incumbent will lead teams that play a key role in the support, troubleshooting, implementation, configuration, maintenance, performance monitoring and the securing of mobile devices, laptops, tablets, desktops and IOT devices deployed in our organization.
You will also lead the team that provides the Microsoft Teams rooms for the PTS organization. The role will lead team members and act as a leader in the event of a technical outage in an area of oversight, participating in the organizational triage processes.
Major Responsibilities:
• Leading the team responsible for the Call Center Platform, including support for existing systems, troubleshooting, implementation of new processes, performance monitor, issue escalation, and triage processes.
• Manage the telephony systems for all corporate and field locations including support, change management, and process optimization.
• Mobile device Management through various MDM agents, IoT Device Management, Desktop/laptop/tablet device management.
• Support, troubleshoot, implementation, configuration, maintenance and performance monitoring for these environments. Ensure various end user devices are meeting security and compliance expectations and goals.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including identifying and evaluating new vendors, understanding financial and operational impact.
• Collaborate extensively in with other teams, including IT Service Desk, Desktop Services, Logistics Mobile Teams, various PTL departments including Maintenance and Rental
• Provide leadership and guidance to meet established objectives, and ensure team effectiveness
• Drive quality improvement by removing barriers that hinder successful project and process implementations. Lead cost saving initiatives.
• Provide performance management and development opportunities for team members.
• Identify hiring, promotion, and separation needs.
• Mentor and coach direct reports
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Telecommunications or related experience preferred. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.
• Minimum 5+ years leading a telecommunications Organization that supports a business with $10 billion in revenues and annual telecom spend more than $20 million per year.
• Minimum 3+ years managing telecom, mobile or Windows Desktop OS teams or related experiences.
• Advanced leadership skills
• Advanced customer service skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Advanced knowledge of Penske systems
• Intermediate Contact Center Software Management
• Intermediate experience with PBX solutions, wireless devices, VOIP solutions
• Advanced Vendor Management and relationship including telephony carriers
• Advanced experience managing iOS, MacOS, Android, ChromeOS devices, and other IoT devices
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Teams rooms and video conferencing
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
