Description
The Garnishment Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate timely processing of all Court Ordered Withholding Documents (Garnishments).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform critical analysis of multiple garnishment types, in multi-state environments.
- Conduct regular reviews of garnishments to verify accuracy.
- Interpret garnishment orders and complete system set up based on court-ordered documents referencing federal and state guidelines.
- Maintains all completed and terminated garnishment orders in system.
- Create reporting to assist in developing and improving processes and procedures.
- Work closely with clients, government agencies, legal entities, and internal personnel to resolve any issues that arise in a timely manner.
- Display high level of ownership by holding internal and external partners accountable to project objectives and timelines through assertive and persuasive communication and organization.
- Evaluate and consult clients on their customized data configuration through Paycom's systems to ensure data integrity.
- Provide top-tier customer service and objection handling techniques to promote client satisfaction and retention.
- Troubleshoot internal and external inquiries, involving additional Paycom resources as needed to meet timelines and resolve issues.
- Uses persuasion and influence to drive outcomes through a high volume of client communication including inbound and outbound calls, emails, and service tickets
- Works under direct supervision
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience working on computer systems of any type, HR experience or related fields, or combination of experience and education.
Experience:
- 1+ years customer service experience

- Multi-state garnishment experience
- Stable work history
Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated mathematical skills and 10 key aptitude
- Strong integrity and ability to hold the upmost confidentiality due to sensitive nature of the role
- Ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with customers and agencies
- Strong listening skills and ability to communicate and direct effectively through tasks.
- Ability to read and comprehend legal forms regarding garnishment orders
- Uses discernment with a risk analysis approach
- Can recognize urgent matters and responds accordingly due to the nature of the issue
- Attempts to forecast day to day items in order to proactively work ahead
- Pivots with guidance in completing assigned tasks
- Understands base time management skills
- Continuous learner.
- Maintains composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations
- Reviews and reaches out for assistance if further clarification is needed
