Summary of Job Description:
The Manager, FSQA (Equipment) is responsible for testing food processing equipment systems and design changes to create sustainable system-wide improvements in food quality, consistency, safety, and ease of operations. This position proactively develops and implements systems that standardize and simplify food preparation and store execution while minimizing additional cost or achieving cost savings. The Manager, FSQA (Equipment) manages a team of Food Technologists, coaching and providing performance feedback to elevate their performance.
You'll get a chance to:
- Lead or support cross-functional teams for large-scale projects with company-wide impact, to ensure food processing results in safer, higher quality food.
- Conduct tests on current and proposed equipment, recipes, food preparation procedures to ensure compliance with company food safety and quality assurance standards.
- Review all equipment procedures (related to food processing) to ensure compliance with company food safety and quality assurance standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop training material and procedures to standardize and simplify food preparation and store execution with minimal impact on cost.
- Conduct store visits to assess effectiveness of equipment and ops execution of procedures.
- Assist Operations in testing and implementing equipment and processes associated with new or existing dishes that create cost savings and/or simplify food preparation.
- Investigate equipment issues related to food quality and safety from an Operations perspective.
- Serve as the liaison between Operations, FSQA, and cross-functional teams to solve food equipment and preparation issues affecting food safety and quality.
- Manage Food Technologists, who provide technical expertise in support of the company's FSQA programs and initiatives. Coaches and provides performance feedback to enhance their performance..
- Research and monitors new food processing equipment, approaches and tools to support achieving the highest FSQA standards for PRG.

Your background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Business and/or HR major preferred
- Minimum five years in a HR/Compensation role with increasing management responsibility, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment is highly preferred
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
ADA Statement:
While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
