Summary of Job Description:

The FSQA Manager (Protein) is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of food ingredients as well as food processing procedures for protein ingredients. This position develops and implements food safety and quality assurance programs related to protein category.

You'll get a chance to:

• Ensure the quality and safety of the grocery served to guests by developing and implementing food safety and quality assurance programs for the protein category as well as supporting food safety and quality assurance programs for protein.
• Conduct supply chain audits and corrective actions follow up to ensure protein ingredients meet FSQA standards and specifications.
• Make store visits to monitor how the recipes are being prepared.
• Work with SCM to expand the company's supply base to meet company growth.
• Ensure the quality and safety of protein suppliers.
• Manage performance data for supply chain partners and processors and identifies any performance improvement opportunities related to protein.
• Collect and analyzes supplier, guest, and operator feedback and works with supply chain partners and purchasing agents to address issues.
• Investigate any issues related to the quality and safety of protein items or to guest complaints about food quality.
• Obtain credit from suppliers where the safety or quality does not meet company specifications.
• Coach and enroll supply chain partners and stores to implement continuous improvements in store procedures to minimize risk and improve quality.
• Ensure supply chain partner is in compliance with Hazard Analysis for Critical Control Points (HACCP)
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams to ensure the success of new products from concept to commercialization and store execution. May recommend changes to Product Innovation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with SCM (Supply Chain Management), PI (Product Innovation) and Brand.
• Create QA manual containing FSQA policies as well as product specifications, standards, processes, and guidelines for supply chain partners and operators.
• Troubleshoot end products to determine cause of complaints (supplier vs. execution in stores) and ensures CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) are implemented.
