Status: Full-Time -Days
Hours: Monday to Friday - 0830-1630
Pay Rate: $20.16/Hr

Job Description:
Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
This site is a Government of Ontario Building.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming property environment
- Conduct highly visible foot patrols; engage positively with tenants, guests, visitors, and employees
- Enforce property standards, rules, regulations, access control procedures, and the Trespass to Property Act using tact and professionalism
- Monitor CCTV systems, maintain situational awareness, and de-escalate emergencies or crisis situations
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and fire & life safety issues; provide first aid/CPR/AED support and assist emergency services as needed
- Investigate incidents, maintain detailed logs, and prepare clear, accurate incident and occurrence reports
- Support daily operations, special events, inspections, and line management/customer service initiatives as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of security experience; physical and/or office security experience considered an asset
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol by foot or vehicle for extended periods (8–12 hours) in indoor and outdoor environments
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills with high attention to detail and observational awareness
- Demonstrated professionalism, emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-traffic environments and make sound decisions under pressure
- Clean driver abstract required
Prerequisites:
- Legally Authorized to work in Canada
- 2 Years of Security Experience is a must
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Lvl C
- Proof of Covid Vaccine - 2 Doses
