Position Overview:

If so, Paladin Security may be the right fit for you! We are looking for friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at a variety of sites in Calgary and surrounding areas. Security Guards can work in different settings - this includes retail centers, high and low rise office buildings, as well as other commercial and residential sites. We are seeking reliable On-Call Security Guards to provide short-notice coverage at various sites in Calgary and surrounding areas. This role requires flexibility, prompt response times, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain available and responsive during assigned 12-hour on-call shifts
- Answer calls and respond within 10 minutes
- Deploy to assigned sites and arrive within 1 hour
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons
- Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources
- Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
- Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
- Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
- Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
- Handle Lost & Found items and inquire
Pay & Schedule
- Guaranteed minimum: $120 per on-call shift ($10/hr for 12 hours)
- Site rate paid when deployed
- Bi-weekly pay
- 4 on / 4 off averaging arrangement
- 19:00-07:00
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel within Calgary and surrounding areas
- Must accept deployments during on-call shifts
- Minimum 8 hours' notice required to book off shifts
- Valid Security Licence
High School Diploma/GED
