Job Skills / Requirements Paladin Security is seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team in the healthcare department at a correctional facility. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety and custody of prisoners while they are in patient care services, and supporting the healthcare providers and Correctional Officers.

Responsibilities:  

• Communicate continuously with patient care teams, Correctional Officers, emergency services providers, and other stakeholders
• Follow established custody procedures
• Respond to incidents and de-escalate potentially violent situations
  Write detailed incident reports
• Other duties as required to meet operational needs

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Extensive experience in security, law enforcement, or a related position; experience within a healthcare environment would be an asset
• Valid BC Security License; valid Advanced Security Training is considered an asset; training will be provided to successful candidates
• Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, bodily fluids, etc.
