Job Skills / Requirements Position:            Full-Time Security Dispatch Site:                   Etobicoke General Hospital | 101 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) over 88 Hours  Hours:               Rotating Continental (0630 - 1830 / 1830 - 0630)  Payrate:            $19.62 / an hour (based on levelling system) Posting Date:    December 27th,2024 Closing Date:   January 10th, 2025

Schedule Example: 
 

• Week 1 - Days - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 
• Week 2 - Days - Wednesday and Thursday
• Week 3 - Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday  
• Week 4 - Nights - Wednesday and Thursday

Job Description: 

In this key role, you will oversee Etobicoke General Hospital. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. 

• Utilizing Two-way Radio Communication and Perspective Software 
• Overseeing the tracking and deployment of security personnel across all of City of Brampton sites 
• Monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety 
• Access control and parking 
• Assign reports to security personnel when required using reporting software 
• Investigate routine incidents

 

Requirements:

• Previous dispatch security experience is an asset, mimimum 3 years of security or related experience
• Minimum 2 (two) years of security or related experience
• Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy
• All successful applicants must undergo a vulnerable sector check
