Overview
This position supports the credit union's mission through effective sales and service, targeted business development efforts and community involvement. The Relationship Banking Officer is responsible for developing and managing nonprofit and business relationships in accordance with OnPoint Community Credit Union's core values and prescribed sales process. Primary focus is establishing and maintaining nonprofit member growth and deposit production, while supporting the community and growing partnerships.
Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Expand nonprofit and commercial membership through community involvement, education and networking.
- Maintain and grow COI relationships to identify new market opportunities
- Increase and deepen nonprofit partnerships, assist in product expansion and offerings
- Contribute to nonprofit deposit and loan growth at OnPoint
Community Service:
- Serve on the board of key nonprofit organizations that closely align with OnPoint's service to community strategy
- Identify opportunities to connect credit union associates for board positions
- Work closely with CDFI partners to support community through education and training
- Represent OnPoint in various civic and community functions to further enhance the credit union's image and development of additional business
Partnerships:
Maintain a productive working relationship with Commercial, Small Business, Retail colleagues, and other credit union divisions, bringing sales partners into member relationships as needed to manage the total financial services for our members and prospects.
Project Management:
- Support DEI and Compliance initiatives as needed
- Collaborate to develop and maintain policies that foster credit union safety and soundness while providing operational efficiencies
- Support external regulatory and government affairs as needed
- Play a key role in building and implementing new products
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in treasury or related financial function
- Proven track record of successful project management experience
- Strong understanding of deposit products, market trends, and sales cycles
- Experience with treasury and financial technology solutions is preferred
