Summary:
Calculate, verify, process and reconcile financial transactions related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll general ledger and various other accounting transactions. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transactions according to established accounting rules and regulations
Responsibilities:
* Provide quality services for internal and external customers by furnishing accurate information, researching, and resolving problem issues in a timely manner.
* Always provide excellent customer service skills to include, but not limited to, addressing customer and employee needs courteously and promptly.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures and provide improvements to management as needed.
* Participate in cross functional teams and activities to identify process and department improvement opportunities, evaluates alternatives, and implements solutions.
* Participate in all internal staff development opportunities
* Provide assistance with special projects.
* Cross train within different areas.
* Update vendors, customers and/or employee information: enter vendor invoices, purchase order releases, cash receipts, accounts receivable, recurring journal entries, travel expenses, and fixed assets in the financial software system.
* Calculate codes and enter transactions into the financial system. Prepare and submit paperwork to have errors fixed.
* Verify financial information is complete, accurate and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and Tribal accounting policy and procedures.
* Actively participate in staff meetings.
* Verify petty cash, cash on hand and physical inventory balances.
* Facilitate the process of pre-scheduled and/or on-demand payments and check run for Payroll and Accounts Payable.
* Perform general accounting processes to prepare financial documents, records, and reports; prepares bank deposits; completes sub-system closing.
* Ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and tribal accounting rules and regulations.
* Assist in implementing and testing upgrades to the financial system and accounting software.
* Prepare and distribute reports to business units, management, and outside agencies as needed.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
