Summary:

Experienced Public Relations Manager for Oneida Comprehensive Health Division (OCHD) to lead marketing and communications team, enhance our corporate image, and boost brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in public relations and team management, with the ability to cultivate media relationships, identify press opportunities, and effectively communicate our brand story across digital platforms. Exceptional communication skills, storytelling prowess, and social media expertise are essential for this role. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations. 


Responsibilities:

* Oversee public relations and public-facing marketing strategies for OCHD.
* Develop an impressive and robust corporate image
* Nurture and leverage relationships with existing and potential media partners
* Review and manage public relations budget and goals.
* Grow and maintain stellar brand awareness utilizing all available methods.
* Coordinate, direct, and manage public relations objectives and campaigns.
* Develop a collaborative marketing communications plan with the Oneida Nation Communications team.
* Oversee and manage public relations team, social media team and continuously assess digital content.
* Manage media inquiries, collaborate with Oneida Nation Public Relations, Oneida Nation Communications, and schedule interviews.
* Process, monitor, and communicate public relations reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to the Executive Management Team.
* Develop a detailed communications and marketing plan for OCHD that educates the community on services, enhances trust, and demonstrates quality of care.
* Promote the welfare of the community through an educational communication strategy.
* Demonstrate excellent writing and editing skills for all division public relations.
* Coordinate and manage superb communication and relationship-building skills with the Oneida Nation, local governments, state government, federal government, and on national level with boards, committees, and commissions.
* Plan, develop, initiate, and manage marketing strategies with thorough knowledge of current industry trends.
* Public-speaking skills to communicate to the Oneida Nation community, leadership, and patient population.
* Develop an effective newsletter, annual report, and visual reports to enhance communication to employees, patient population, Oneida Nation community, and leadership.
* Develop and conduct division employee in-house communication educations, public relations educations, and trainings to best represent the Oneida Nation and the division.
* Confer with division administration and management team to develop internal communications that keep employees informed of company activities
* Design and edit evidence-based culturally appropriate promotional publications, such as brochures and patient handbook.
* Assist with development, implement, and maintain crisis communication plans in collaboration with division entities.
* Observe and report on social, economic, tribal, and political trends that might affect employers.
* Participation in the production of video products, regulate distribution, and operate library.
* Write interesting and effective press releases, prepare information for media kits, and develop and maintain company internet or intranet web pages that are evidence-based and culturally appropriate.
* Draft speeches for division management and arrange interview and other forms of contact for them.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, government officials, and media representatives and use these relationships to develop new division opportunities.
* Evaluate advertising and promotion programs for compatibility with public relations efforts.
* Facilitate patient relations or the relationship between parts of the division, such as management and employees or different departments.
* Formulate policies and procedures related to public information programs working with the management team.
* Identify main patient groups and audiences, determine the best way to communicate publicity information to them, and develop, implement, and revise a communication plan.
* Serve as the central point of contact for all the division's public relation materials.
* Manage public relations and reporting requirements to ensure compliance with all grant reporting requirements and division credentialing requirements.
* Successfully manage an intra-division collaborative approach to represent the division in the best manner possible.
* Help to build trust and promote goodwill by drawing attention to OCHD contributions, clinical results, and accreditations.
* Maintain strict departmental security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.
* Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Judiciary Policies and Procedures

* Must comply with Caregiver Law and Grant conditions criminal history checks as a condition of employment to include fingerprinting

* Ability to travel to conferences, media events, and communication trainings.

Experience:

* Five (5) years of experience in any combination of journalism, public relations, or communications.
* Three (3) years of experience in coordination of public speaking and the ability to effectively present various circumstances and scenarios professionally and objectively to key decision makers.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
