Summary:
The Network Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of Oneida Nations network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for developing and managing network documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and network policies/procedures.
* Assess the existing infrastructure and propose enhancements based on industry best practices.
* Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, multi-WAN/LAN/WLAN services, cloud connectivity, and other network-related devices.
* Proficiently troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and conduct testing activities on a wide range of computer equipment, peripherals, data communication systems, network infrastructure, and software applications.
* Provide necessary support for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Oneida's network, server, data storage, and firewall systems.
* Engage in interactions and negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to procure network products and services.
* Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network and services.
* Collaborate on update and patch scheduling to ensure that all software and hardware components adhere to best practice versioning.
* Collaborate on the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
* Assist with developing controls around determining and granting appropriate systems access.
* Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure

Experience:
Essential:
* Two (2) years in experience in support of an enterprise-wide network.

* Four (4) years relevant work experience in a network administrator role supporting an enterprise-wide network.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
