Salary: $15.45/Hr

Salary is Negotiable

After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.

Shift Differential: 

Monday-Thursday (6pm to 6am) + $1.00 per hour worked 
Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am + $3.00 per hour worked 
Saturday (4am to 4pm) + $2.00 per hour worked 
Saturday (4pm to 4am) + $3.00 per hour worked 
Sunday 4am to Monday 6am + $2.00 per hour worked

Part-Time and Half-Time Employees: 

Eligible for an additional $2.00 per hour worked

Summary:

Responsible for the overall carpentry/maintenance of all Gaming buildings. Perform skilled tasks in accordance with standard practices of the construction and carpentry trades and codes under direction from Carpenters. Ensure that services are provided effectively and efficiently to the Oneida Nation.

Detailed responsibilities:

* Perform duties at various heights using lifts or ladders.
* Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times and in all activities. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of Oneida Casino. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority
* Develop, maintain, and facilitate effective relationships, communication processes and activities with all Gaming personnel and all other internal and external customers regarding maintenance activities and projects. Ensure established procedures and processes are utilized at all times to ensure maximum understanding and coordination is in place. Attend department meetings to ensure effective communications take place.
* Inform supervisor of recommendations/ideas for improving all areas of this position to include ideas on improving customer service systems or activities.
* Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements in all times. Adhere to established quality, service delivery, customer service, and customer demand expectations. Adhere to all audit, and legal regulations/laws and practices.
* Plan, layout, construct, and install various materials for projects using standard carpentry methods and meeting code requirements. Ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.
* Install, maintain, and repair various flooring and sub flooring.
* Work with various glues, adhesives, and caulks to complete work.
* Repair damaged and defective woodwork where possible to eliminate functional and visual defects.
* Remove snow from Gaming Division parking lots and sidewalks.
* Establish and maintain an inventory of materials.
* Complete work orders in a timely manner.
* Complete inspections of various areas and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
* Deliver/assemble materials, furniture, and equipment as needed to assist various departments.
* Maintain all Gaming Division grounds and facilities in an exceptional manner.
* Maintain and clean various surfaces and grounds as needed to include using appropriate blood borne pathogen procedures.
* Paint and stain various areas as needed.
* Adhere to all safety procedures.

* Provide plumbing and minor electrical assistance.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* High School Diploma HSED GED Required or Obtain Within 1 yr in Education General
* Applicants age 50 and older are exempt from this requirement

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
