After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

This position will assist the Arts Program Supervisor in the overall development and operations of the Arts Department with specific responsibility for the implementation of Arts programming including coordination of artists and instructors. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.


Responsibilities:

* Assist in developing a calendar of regularly scheduled and appropriately structured arts activities and programs that meet the needs of Oneida Tribal members. a. Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies for arts programming. b. Assist in developing and implementing customer service initiatives to ensure world-class customer service. c. Develop surveys tools to measure customer satisfaction and programming trends.
* Assist in identifying and pursuing external funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, advertisements, and earned income. a. Assist in creating and monitoring budgets for arts programming, working towards increasing revenues while decreasing expenses. b. Maintain accurate financial and programming records of project in Arts Program spreadsheets and database. c. Provide accurate reporting of projects and programs, including financials, attendances, levels of satisfaction and photographic documentation.
* Perform own administrative tasks including contract negotiations, purchase orders, invoice sign-off, supply advances, cash boxes, typing, filing and answering telephones.
* Design and coordinate arts instruction, services and programs in contemporary and traditional areas of visual arts, music, theatre, dance, and creative writing that are accessible and appropriate for tribal members of all ages. a. Coordinate the apprentices, and modified duty workers in arts program. b. Research and evaluate artists and consultants working in the programs. c. Work with individual artists in developing their professional career. d. Maintain a listing of Oneida/Iroquois and other artists.
* Manage and evaluate the WI Regranting Program including the Dollars for Arts Program and Planting Seeds of Knowledge (Seeds) categories of the Regranting Program, and that includes soliciting applications, consulting with applicants, recruiting panel, coordinating panel meeting and producing annual final grant reports.
* Maintain a current list of art supplies and equipment. a. Organize and maintain equipment and supplies for easy access and safe use. b. Assist other departments and programs by make available equipment and supplies. c. Purchase and maintain a stock of art supplies for classes and projects.
* Provide support services by being a resource to clients including artists, arts organizations, and community members interested in the arts. a. Network with other arts, tribal, and non-profit organizations, and programs for developing arts programming and identifying collaboration opportunities. b. Attend arts events, artist receptions, visit art galleries, culture centers, and groups and explore their websites and social media and maintain awareness of their programs, activities, and opportunities for artists.

Skills:

Essential:
* Operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment
* Work independently and in a team environment
* Organizational management. This requires the incumbent to plan, organize and schedule priorities efficiently and effectively, meet strict deadlines and successfully cope with challenging situations and conditions
* Must present a professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of the Oneida Nation in dealing with the general public
* Knowledge, experience and background necessary to coordinate and monitor consultants and instructors for classes, workshops and other Arts related programming
* Ability to manage numerous tasks and project while maintaining positive attitude and cool demeanor
* Must be detail oriented and ability to seek continuous improvement in results
* Interpersonal relations
* Knowledge working with a personal computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and graphic design and photo editing software
* Knowledge of Oneida culture and heritage is required to integrate into programming activities. Continue personal education in Oneida Culture/language in order to incorporate traditional Oneida beliefs and practices into programming and everyday operations
* Skill and experience with website content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and social media content including production of graphics, flyers, photography, and short videos
* Awareness of effective teaching methods and learning styles
* Ability to be tactful and mature and work with a wide variety of personalities demonstrating objectivity, respect, courtesy, maturity, and patience

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Gen
* A Combination of Experience and Education May Be Considered

Credentials:

* Driver's License Personal & Tribal Vehicle
* Insurance Required
Nonessential:
* Driver Safety Training
* CPR and Red Cross First Aide, obtain within three (3) months of employment. Must maintain during employment

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
