What you'll do:

The Vice President of Sales provides leadership and direction to the Sales Department and develops sales strategies and initiatives to support the company's overall objectives. Additional details about what you will be doing includes:

  • Provide leadership to Regional Sales Managers and Strategic Account Managers
    • When necessary, the VP of Sales will provide interim leadership to Sales Engineers, Robotic Sales Specialist, Inside Sales, Prototype Engineers, and Applications Engineers when there is no Regional Sales Manager for a territory.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure territory plans and strategies are executed by the sales team.
  • Manage Olympus supplier partners (UR, MIR, Epson, Parker, Mitsubishi, Cognex, and Zebra).
  • Continually evaluate new technology and manufacturers to determine viability of new suppliers and competitive landscape.
  • Responsible for revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Travel to meet with direct reports on a regular basis and participate in large potentials with the sales team.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • At least 10 years of sales experience.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Respond to customer and coworker action items within 24 hours. 
  • Be available at a moment's notice to support the sales team.
  • Use all forms of communication effectively including email, cell phone voice and text messages, Microsoft Teams chat, and VOIP phone, video calls, etc.
  • 50 hours/week minimum with is typical for someone to be successful in this position
  • 30% travel is required for this position
  • Located within a reasonable commuting distance to one of our following locations as this role requires regular presence at our facility:
    • Sherwood, OR
    • Kent, WA
    • Fremont, CA
    • San Diego, CA
    • Irving, TX
    • Phoenix, AZ
  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or another Engineering discipline is required.
  • An MBA is preferred.
