The Site Technician ensures safety while overseeing on-site installation standards set forth by the Company. This person is responsible for training customers on product installation guidelines, as well as monitoring the quality of products delivered to the site and the quality of the installation performed by the contractor. The Site Technician addresses customer feedback and coordinates response actions with inside production, sales, and engineering teams, ensuring the customers' needs are satisfied. Additional responsibilities may include post-installation inspections, customer installation training, and identifying opportunities for overall improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensures all OI safety guidelines and protocols are followed
  • Verifies that company documentation and guidelines are up to date and accurate
  • Coordinates with insides sales, operations and engineering teams on any customer feedback
  • Communicate with operations and engineering teams with feedback from site visits/installs, identifying product installation and improvement opportunities
  • Assists with trade shows and customer education about product and install expectations and guidelines
  • Prepares post-installation documentation and reports for internal and customer recording
  • Evaluates and improves current install processes
  • Leads pre-construction meetings ahead of product installation
  • Assess damaged product on site and coordinates response and correction as needed

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, sales, or engineering related role
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Proficiency in basic business (Microsoft Office) software
  • Experience in 6 Sigma, LEAN, 5S, or CI preferred
  • Experience with customer facing roles preferred

 

Requirements

 

  • Heavy travel required; must be willing to work in or travel to other locations as needed. Must be available as needed during non-traditional work hours.
  • Knowledge and understanding of functional areas within the company. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • High ethical and professional standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and exemplary oral/written communication skills.
  • Strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and ability to present themselves professionally.
  • Ability to assess and interpret financial data.
  • Must be able to work independently and with groups. Must be able to work under time constraints as needed.
  • Ability to communicate with civic leaders and local, state, and national policy makers.
