Job Summary

 

We are seeking a Supply Chain and Production Analyst who will be responsible sourcing and understanding inventory of product from the raw material to the end user.  This role will work with production, customer service, and supply chain teams to develop methods and scheduling models that drive the company to meet customer commitments while also efficiently utilizing company assets and resources to reduce operational costs.  This position will be based out of our production plant in Mesa, AZ.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Understand factors that impact the schedule, anticipate potential risks, and proactively create action plans to reduce delays in the schedule
  • Plan and establish work schedule and assignments for material availability to support the production schedule
  • Maintain inventory reports of raw materials and requisition Capex and expense items as needed
  • Optimize schedule to improve on-time performance and reduce lead time
  • Efficient understanding of the purchase ordering process (creating POs in ERP), receiving in inventory and working with accounts payable for any invoice related questions.
  • Develop tools that automate and help the team visualize and track availability of raw materials and availability of products to ship
  • Coordinate the schedule of activities of supporting processes for the conversion of raw materials and transfer of products between facilities
  • Track all orders and cost of materials
  • Develop new sources of supply for all companies – PebbleTec, Fire & Water and Lightstreams to gain cost savings and more profitable margins
  • Confer with managers/supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Support transportation analyst when needed by booking freight and tracking railcars
  • Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems
  • Facilitate an environment and organizational philosophy of continuous improvement
  • Work with finance team to ensure accuracy of BOMs

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.  Manufacturing and production experience is a plus
  • 3 years of experience in comprehensive supply chain
  • Experience with Infor or other similar systems and MRP systems required
  • Expertise in preparing, importing, and manipulating information in spreadsheets, databases, and presentations; converting raw data into usable formats
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills with an advanced level of Excel; ability to extract system data and utilize Excel to develop reports
  • Experience in Tableau is a plus
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and purpose, with a bias for action
  • Must be able to operate in a busy, demanding environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to work independently, but also within a team environment
  • Office environment requiring long periods at a desk while using a phone, computer, printer, keyboard, mouse & multiple (2) video displays
